U.S. Senator Max Baucus to Speak on Trade Agenda for 2005: Baucus Will Deliver Speech on Success and Future of Trade Agreements

(WASHINGTON, D.C.) -- On Tuesday, July 13, U.S. Senator Max Baucus will be discussing the Central American Free Trade Agreement (CAFTA) and other current trade topics at the Global Business Dialogue.

With a vote to extend fast track authority only a year away, Senator Baucus’ speech will focus on the implementation of the Trade Act of 2002 in regards to CAFTA and measures being taken to  strengthen environmental and labor standards in trade agreements. The Senator will also share some of his ideas on how to improve the process of future trade agreements and using trade to create more American jobs.
