U.S. Senator Baucus Holds Press Availability in Japan
Senator To Meet With Press Outside of The Kantei
(Washington, D.C.) – U.S. Senator Max Baucus will hold a press availability outside of the Kantei in Tokyo, Japan on Monday, immediately following his meeting with the Cabinet Secretary General Mr. Yasuo Fukuda.
Baucus, who is leading a trade delegation to Asia, will be meeting with Mr. Fukuda to further build relationships between the U.S. and Japan, to discuss re-opening Japan’s borders to U.S. beef and to encourage Japan to accept a larger role as a leader in the WTO and the global economy.
Baucus will continue his Asia trip in Beijing and Shanghai, China and Bangkok, Thailand later in the week.
