Crapo Statement on Meeting With USTR Nominee
Washington, D.C.--U.S. Senate Finance Committee Ranking Member Mike Crapo (R-Idaho) released the following statement after meeting with Jamieson Greer, President-elect Donald Trump’s nominee to be the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR):
“The U.S. Trade Representative will play a critical role in the next Administration by negotiating and enforcing trade agreements that ensure American businesses have the opportunity to compete in global markets. Jamieson’s extensive trade experience – including in the previous Trump Administration – makes him well equipped to crack down on unfair trade practices and fight for market access for our farmers and manufacturers. I look forward to working with my colleagues to quickly consider his nomination before the Committee.”
