Wyden Statement on Appointment of Greta Peisch as USTR General Counsel

Senate Finance Committee Chair Ron Wyden, D-Ore., today released the following statement on the announcement that Greta Peisch will serve as general counsel for the office of the U.S. Trade Representative. Peisch previously served as senior international trade counsel for Wyden on the Senate Finance Committee.

"Ms. Peisch is a fierce advocate for American workers, and a tremendous choice for USTR general counsel. I recruited her to work on the Senate Finance Committee after seeing her drive and commitment during her first tenure at USTR. Her work at Senate Finance was instrumental in helping to level the playing field for American workers, farmers, ranchers and innovators. As general counsel, she will be a powerful force for establishing a fairer and more equitable trade environment."
