Wyden Announces Finance Committee Hearing on Ultra-Wealthy Tax Avoidance Schemes
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Senate Finance Committee Chairman Ron Wyden, D-Ore., will convene a committee hearing on Thursday, November 9, 2023 to examine the schemes the ultra-wealthy rely on to legally get away without paying their fair share in taxes. The hearing will take place at 10:00 a.m. in Room 215 of the Dirksen Senate Office Building.
The following witnesses are scheduled to testify:
- Chye-Ching Huang, Executive Director of the Tax Law Center at NYU Law
- Morris Pearl, Chair of Patriotic Millionaires, previously Managing Director at BlackRock
- William McBride, Vice President of Federal Tax Policy at the Tax Foundation
- Douglas Holtz-Eakin, President of the American Action Forum
