Senate Finance Committee Unanimously Approves
WASHINGTON -- By a unanimous voice vote, the Senate Finance Committee today gave bipartisan approval to an original bill, "The Tax Relief Extension Act of 1999, that addresses the extension of expiring tax provisions.
"I am hopeful that we can move this legislation as rapidly as possible to minimize confusion over the extension of these tax credits," said Senate Finance Committee Chairman William V. Roth, Jr. (R-DE).
The Senate now must wait for the House to send over a tax bill before it can vote out this legislation.
