PATH Act Provides Critical Tax Relief and Stability for American Families and Job Creators
Bipartisan, Bicameral Bill Paves the Way for Comprehensive Tax Reform
On December 15, 2015, Senate Finance Committee Chairman Orrin Hatch (R-Utah), House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Kevin Brady (R-Texas), and Senate Finance Committee Ranking Member Ron Wyden (D-Ore.) introduced The Protecting Americans from Tax Hikes (PATH) Act of 2015 to provide permanent tax relief for hard-working American families, college students, charities, small business and enterprises on the forefront of innovation.
This bipartisan, bicameral bill is a culmination of recent work done in both chambers of Congress and renews and makes permanent important tax incentives that support both individuals and job creators.
After years of unpredictability, the PATH Act makes permanent changes to the tax code giving American families and job-creators the certainty they need to plan ahead. The bill makes common-sense reforms to curb waste and fraud and ultimately lays the groundwork for a comprehensive overhaul of the broken U.S. tax code.
