More Than 200 Industry Stakeholders and Job Creators Support Senate Tax Overhaul

Tax Cuts and Jobs Act Receives Strong Support Across Industries

The Senate tax overhaul, which passed the Senate last week, makes America a more inviting place for businesses to invest and grow. By lowering the corporate tax rate, allowing full and immediate expensing, and making a number of other much needed business tax reforms, the Senate tax plan will spur investment and growth, leading to higher wages and better jobs.

Business Roundtable CEO Joshua Bolten recently wrote in the Hill about feedback he’s received from CEOs and what tax reform would mean for investing in their businesses.

He noted:

  • AT&T’s CEO announced AT&T would invest an additional $1 billion in 2018 if a 20 percent corporate tax rate is adopted, which Bolten says will create about 7,000 U.S. jobs;

  • CVS Health’s CEO said if comprehensive tax reform passes, his company would build more pharmacies and MinuteClinics, leading to thousands of permanent jobs as well as construction jobs, and;

  • Of a recent survey of roughly 200 CEOS, 82 percent said that tax reform would lead to increased hiring and capital spending.

It doesn’t stop there. More than 200 stakeholders support the Senate’s pro-growth tax reform package. Here’s a look at who is on board:
