Description: Sen. Chuck Grassley, chairman of the Committee on Finance, will convene a hearing
to hear testimony on the 2003 Annual Report of the Board of Trustees of the Federal Old Age and Survivors Insurance and Disability Insurance Trust Funds – informally known as the Social Security trust fund. The report, released last month, informs the policy challenges toward sustaining Social Security for baby boomer retirement and beyond. The following witness is scheduled to testify: Mr. Stephen C. Goss, Chief Actuary, Social Security Administration.
