Hatch, Wyden to Celebrate Passage of Bipartisan CHRONIC Care Act
WASHINGTON – Senate Finance Committee Chairman Orrin Hatch (R-Utah), and Ranking Member Ron Wyden (D-Ore.), will attend an event on Thursday, Dec. 6, to celebrate congressional passage of the CHRONIC Care Act and to discuss how to continue improving Medicare for seniors with complex chronic illnesses. The event, “Bipartisan Leadership in Health Care: Chronic Care Implementation” will take place at 9:30 a.m. at the Bipartisan Policy Center.
This year, Congress passed the CHRONIC Care Act, a years-long legislative effort in the Finance Committee to help seniors in Medicare suffering from stroke, diabetes, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s disease, heart disease, and other chronic illnesses. At Thursday’s event, the senators will be receiving an award for leading this bipartisan health care effort.
