Hatch to Unveil Finance Committee Agenda in Speech at Chamber

WASHINGTON – Senate Finance Committee Chairman Orrin Hatch (R-Utah) will unveil his committee’s 2015 agenda in a speech on Tuesday, January 20, 2015, at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.   The speech will take place at 9:00 a.m. at U.S. Chamber Headquarters.

In the speech, Chairman Hatch will outline a bold, growth-oriented committee agenda aimed at achieving bipartisan, job-creating initiatives such as reforming the tax code and enacting trade promotion authority (TPA). Hatch will highlight his plan to strike away at Obamacare’s devastating taxes and mandates while working towards the ultimate goal of repealing and replacing the law in its entirety.  The chairman will also discuss the committee’s plan to address the nation’s entitlement programs – the biggest driver of our long-term debt – and the committee’s pension and oversight agenda.
