Hatch to Hold Finance Hearing on Counterfeit Goods & Opportunities for Small Business Exporters in the Digital Age
WASHINGTON – Senate Finance Committee Chairman Orrin Hatch (R-Utah) will convene a hearing on Wednesday, June 15, to examine opportunities and challenges for American businesses in the digital age. The hearing, titled “Challenges and Opportunities for U.S. Business in the Digital Age,” will take place at 2:00 p.m. in Room 215 of the Dirksen Senate Office Building.
“A 21st century global economy provides both great opportunities and challenges for American manufacturers and businesses that are unique to a digital marketplace,” Hatch said. “We need to do all we can to ensure American businesses have the tools they need to succeed in the digital economy. With this hearing, members will examine problems facing businesses, including the importation of counterfeit goods, as well as explore opportunities the digital marketplace presents for small businesses.”
