Hatch Statement on Speaker John Boehner

WASHINGTON – Senate Finance Committee Chairman Orrin Hatch (R-Utah) issued the following statement today on Speaker John Boehner (R-OH):

“Having dedicated nearly a quarter of a century to public service, John has ‎been the epitome of a real leader. A strong and powerful voice for the Republican Party, he has taken on some of the toughest fights in Washington from holding down government spending to fighting Obamacare and reforming our entitlements for the future generations. Being the Speaker of the House is never an easy job but John always performed it with grit and pragmatism. Washington is a lesser place without his courageous leadership and I will sorely miss my good friend."
