Hatch Announces Hearing for Treasury, HHS Nominations

WASHINGTON – Senate Finance Committee Chairman Orrin Hatch (R-Utah) today announced that he will convene a hearing to consider Michael Faulkender to be Treasury Assistant Secretary for Economic Policy and Elizabeth Darling to be Health and Human Services (HHS) Commissioner on Children, Youth, and Families. The hearing will take place on Wednesday, Aug. 22 at 10 a.m. in 215 Dirksen Senate Office Building.

The following nominees are scheduled to testify: 

• Michael Faulkender to be Treasury Assistant Secretary for Economic Policy

• Elizabeth Darling to be Commissioner on Children, Youth, and Families, Department of Health and Human Services
