Grassley Releases Witness List for Tax Shelters Hearing
WASHINGTON – Sen. Chuck Grassley, chairman of the Committee on Finance, willconvene a hearing to examine the current situation regarding abusive tax shelters – both corporateand individual – and the government’s response to the problem. Grassley intends to expose anyweaknesses in the government’s enforcement efforts as the buyers and sellers of illicit tax shelterscontinue to find new, creative ways to ply their trade.
