Grassley Releases Witness List for Second Hearing on the Uninsured
Hearing: “Living Without Health Insurance: Solutions to the Problem”

Description: Millions of Americans live without health insurance. Leaders including PresidentBush and Sen. Chuck Grassley, chairman of the Committee on Finance, plan toaddress this problem. Grassley is convening two committee hearings. The firstidentified the populations that make up the uninsured and their unique characteristicsthat cause them to go without health coverage. The second hearing will focus onways to address the problem. Witnesses will discuss solutions such as individual taxcredits, employer tax credits, increased flexibility in Medicaid and the StateChildren’s Health Insurance Program, program expansions, and ways to improveoutreach.
