COMMITTEE RESCHEDULES HEARING ON TRADE AGREEMENT ENFORCEMENT


WASHINGTON -- Senate Finance Committee Chairman William V. Roth, Jr., today announced that the Committee will conduct a hearing entitled "US Trade Agreements Compliance: International Dispute Settlement and Domestic Enforcement Measures." This hearing was originally scheduled for February 10th.

The trade agreement enforcement hearing will be held on Tuesday, February 23rd, in room 215 Dirksen, beginning at 10 am. The following witnesses have been invited to testify:

I. A Panel Consisting of:

The Honorable David Aaron, Under Secretary of Commerce for International Trade.
The Honorable Susan G. Esserman, General Counsel, U.S. Trade Representative.

II. A Panel Consisting of:
The Honorable Jeffrey M. Lang, Former Deputy U.S. Trade Representative; Partner, Wilmer, Cutler & Pickering.
Charles D. Lambert, Ph.D., Chief Economist, National Cattlemen's Beef Association.
Mark Orr, Vice President, Distilled Spirits Council of the United States.
Joseph W. Hagin, Vice President of Corporate Affairs, Chiquita Brands International.
Ira Wolf, Former Assistant U.S. Trade Representative for Japan and China; IW Associates.
