Senate Finance Committee Chairman Max Baucus (D-Mont.) today announced Jason Park has joined the Democratic Finance Committee staff, where he will serve as international trade counsel focusing on Trade Adjustment Assistance (TAA), customs and other trade issues.

“I’m very pleased to welcome Jason to the Senate Finance Committee’s Democratic staff,” Senator Baucus said.  “He brings a set of skills and experience that will be invaluable as the Finance Committee continues to work on our substantial trade agenda.  I look forward to working with Jason as we address these important issues.”

“I’m excited to join the Senate Finance Committee trade team.  The committee has a reputation for getting the job done.  I look forward to helping Senator Baucus craft important trade legislation and advance Trade Promotion Authority and Trade Adjustment Assistance,” Park said.

Park joins the committee from the majority staff of the Senate Budget Committee, where he served as revenues counsel, working on trade and tax issues.  He previously served as the legislative counsel for Senator Patty Murray (D-Wash.) and has private sector experience.  Park is a graduate of Yale University and Columbia Law School.
