WASHINGTON, D.C. - Senate Finance Committee Chairman Max Baucus (D-Mont.) issued the following statement today following President Obama's announcement of his decision to re-nominate Ben Bernanke as Chairman of the Federal Reserve.
From Chairman Baucus:
"In these difficult economic times, we need a Fed Chairman with a track record of strong, independent leadership and that’s why I support the President's decision to re-appoint Ben Bernanke as Chairman of the Federal Reserve.
